Lutheran Social Services of Illinois

Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is the largest social service organization in the State of Illinois. It is a not-for-profit social services agency serving people of all faiths and all walks of life, including children, families and adults. In 2014, LSSI served 73,000 people in the state. The average family income of 80 percent of LSSI's clients was under $15,000. LSSI services include Behavioral Health Services, Children's Community Services, Prisoner and Family Ministry, and Senior Services.

 

Our Ministry

St. John's supports LSSI through financial contributions and provides a local LSSI representative with complimentary office space.  We also suppoprt special LSSI programs, such as the Storybook Project, the Holiday Hope Chest Giving Tree and the Nachusa Lutheran Home.
